Bluetooth is a new industry standard “wireless” connection. It typically works within a small radius of <10 meters (~30 feet).
Pentax has chosen to provide Bluetooth capability for the PocketJet II and 200 printers using various 3rd party vendors who supply “Bluetooth-to-Parallel” adapters.
These 3rd party adapters, however, are intended to connect to printers that use a much larger “Centronics” parallel connector, and consequently they cannot be connected directly to our small Hirose parallel connector on the printer.
So, if you intend to use one of these 3rd party vendors for printing via Bluetooth, you will also need to purchase our “Bluetooth Interface Cable”, which allows connecting the Centronics parallel side of the vendor adapter to the Hirose connector on the printer.
