With the Pentax Driver CD v1.0 release “trial” versions of printing application software for PalmOS, PocketPC, and RIM devices were provided.
With Driver CD v2.0, the “trial” applications have been upgraded to the most current offering from 3rd party development partners.
What’s upgraded for PalmOS:
· StevensCreek PalmPrint now supports PalmOS 5 (and earlier) devices and Bluetooth.
· IS/Complete has created a new program called BtPrint, which has replaced the older IrPrint. BtPrint supports both Bluetooth and Irda interfaces. BtPrint supports all PalmOS 5 and earlier devices.
· InStep Print has been improved. However, the version supplied on our driver CD does NOT support PalmOS 5 or Bluetooth. Please contact InStep to see if OS5 support has been competed.
What’s upgraded for PocketPC:
· All of the Field Software applications have been improved, and now also provide support for Bluetooth. All of these applications work on all versions of the PocketPC platform. These applications include:
o PrintPocketCE – Print PocketWord, PocketExcel, and PocketOutlook documents
o PocketShot – Print screen shots
o PocketPixPrint – Print image files
o PocketClipPrint – Print data copied to the clipboard
What’s new for PocketPC:
· Field Software’s PIEPrint – Allows printing Pocket Internet Explorer pages. Requires PocketPC2002 or higher.
